The Loft:
Four Weeks. It had been almost four long, stressful weeks. After everything that had happened with Jaren and Brice, Jim and Blair had talked it over and decided that they had to make some security arrangements for their safety, just in case. Simon had granted Jim his request for the four week leave of absence with the stipulation that they kept in contact with him at least once every 72 hours. Jim had agreed to it, but had added to the agreement that Simon would be brought up to speed about their decisions about how and what they were going to do to secure their safety, as long as he agreed to become part of the security system they set up. Simon had agreed wholeheartedly.
For just over three weeks Jim had run Blair through all kinds of different self-defense training and made him become accustomed to handling all types of weapons as well as how to 'MacGyver' a few when the real thing wasn't on hand. When they had any free time that wasn't being used for weapons training, Jim ran Blair through all kinds of test for his new senses. The found out quite quickly that the loss of physical contact between them broke Blair's ability to remain focused on a sense and then Jim was able to quickly pull him out of a zone if Blair went in too deep. Also, on a scale of 1 to 10, (with 1 being normal human senses,) Jim's senses were a 10 and Blair was a 4 or 5 at best. Blair had gotten a brief chance to study Jaren before she and Brice had left and determined that she was an 8.The biggest drawback, and what had scared the hell out of Jim big time, was the fact that, at first, EVERY time Blair zoned he held his breath. Thankfully , and happily, they were able to break Blair of that bad habit by forcing him to use his senses while he was breathing heavily and concentrating exclusively on Jim in the bed room , specifically...in bed! Blair's zoning was down to almost nothing now that he was getting use to borrowing Jim's senses.
Blair had handled everything else pretty well until it came time to use the guns and Jim was still trying to get him to tell him exactly why he hated guns, not that he had succeeded. Blair had had no problem with knives, bows and Arrows, ropes, traps, swords and a profusion of other weapons. He had even gotten pretty good with C-4 and making a bomb out of household supplies, but the second Jim brought up the gun issue Blair's heart rate would spike through the roof. So except for making sure he knew how to fire specific hand guns and rifles he let it go. Still, there were a few things about this whole gun thing that bothered him. He had only ever had to show Blair how to use a gun or rifle once and he remembered perfectly, and for someone who HATED guns that was just ... weird, but Jim just chalked it up to Blair wanting to do it right the first time and get it over and done with.
Jim watched Blair as he sat in front of his laptop to finally sort through all his e-mail that had piled up over the past few weeks. He hadn't allowed Blair to bring it with him because he knew that it would be too much of a distraction and for the main fact that he knew Blair wouldn't have any time to use it, so why carry the extra weight.
They had been back for three days now and one of the first things that they had done upon returning was to get Blair a license to carry a firearm as well as purchase a hand gun for Blair. He had balked at the idea but acquiesced when he had told him that they would keep it in the hidden panel in the wall at the loft. Simon had come over the day before and they had given him a list of contacts as well as their code system and showed him how it worked. They only had a day and a half left to Jim's leave and were finally able to relax, albeit only slightly considering the circumstances. Things were finally getting back to 'NORMAL'.
If that was true, then why couldn't Jim shake the feeling that he was overlooking something?

Cheyenne Mountain: SGC Debriefing Room
"Dr. Jackson, have you made contact with that friend of yours that you were trying to find?" General Hammond asked from his seat at the head of the table.
"Yes Sir. I finally got a reply from him a few hours ago. I'd like to fly out to Cascade Washington so that I can get the book we brought back from PX379 translated and find out what it is that we're supposed to bring back to the planet with us as soon as possible. I hate to say it but I think we are on some kind of time table with the planets indigenous people."
"What do you mean Dr., I wasn't aware of any time limit that was given to us. Was your briefing report incomplete when you turned it in two weeks ago?"
"No Sir. It's just a feeling I got from the village elder before we left. He didn't speak english very well and some of the words he used confused me, thats why I need to talk to my friend, but the tone of the elders voice during the conversation seemed ... urgent."
"Very well Dr. Jackson, you have permission to leave first thing tomorrow morning on the transport thats going to the airport at 08:00 tomorrow. Was there anything else?"
Hammond looked around at the other three faces at the table.
"Sir, I think I should go with Daniel. I think I know someone else who might be able to help out with the situation, but I don't think it would be a good idea to have someone he doesn't know approach him."
"All right, Colonel O'Neill if that's what you think is best, but I want your report on my desk when you return. Dismissed." General Hammond got up out of his seat and left the room.
"What's the matter Jack? Afraid Daniel will get into trouble on our own planet?" Captain Samantha Carter Joked.
Jack Smiled when Daniel shot them both a dirty look. "Ya' never know Sam, ya never know."
"I agree with Colonel O'Neill. It is wise to take precautions, on ANY planet." The Jaffa sat, stone faced as he waited for a response from Daniel Jackson. He enjoyed the playful banter that they all exchanged at times like this.
"Gee, Thanks Teal'k." Daniel smiled at his alien friend before turning to Jack. "Are you sure you're just going to meet a friend or are you just anxious to hear me talking in another language you can't understand?"
Jack slapped him on the back as he got out of his chair. "Oh, and what language would that be Danny?"
Daniel smiled as the rest of them all got up out of their chairs and headed for the door.
"Scientific Jack. You know, the one you cringe at when Sam and I get talking."
"Oh, THAT language. Good thing I really am going to see someone who just HAPPENS to live in Cascade Washington, huh."
"Well, Teal'k and I will see you when you get back. I still have some tests to run on the Naquada samples we brought back from PX379 and Teal'k is going out with SG6 to the Land of Light."
"Ok, Sam. We'll see you when we get back." Daniel waved to his two friends as they went off in the opposite direction that he and Jack were heading.
"Ya' want to crash at my place tonight since we both have to be here at the same time tomorrow? You still have most of you're laundry at my place any way."
"Yeah, I might as well. Thanks for letting me use your washer Jack. Last time I used the washers at the apartment We were called away and when I got back, someone had taken my clothes out an dumped them on the floor to get all moldy. We had been gone for two weeks so there was nothing I could do to save my clothes."
"Eew, lets not go there shall we, I only ate a few hours ago." Jack chuckled as he ruffled Daniel's hair.
"JACK!!! Ya' know, I could shave my head like Teal'k's so you can't do that any more."
Jack's heart gave a lurch at the though of Daniel without all of his beautiful hair. Giving a nervous laugh to cover his uneasiness, he did it again.
"Don't even THINK about it Danny. You do that and I'll just start patting you on the head instead, besides you're brain would freeze. Come on lets get out of here."
Daniel just smiled as he watched Jack walk off ahead of him. He knew that he was in love with Jack and was glad that he could effect him, even if it was just in small ways. He also knew that Jack had no idea what his feelings towards him actually were and that he was slowly becoming frustrated with himself over it. If only he'd ever have the courage to act on it.
"Anything you say Jack, anything you say." Daniel mumbled as he hurried after his friend.

Jack's House: After Supper
Jack sat on the couch next to Daniel drinking a beer as he watched a pre-recorded game that he had missed while off planet, but he was only half paying attention to it. Daniel had fallen asleep on the other end of the couch, clutching one of the over-sized cushions to his chest like some sort of teadybear. Thoughts were bouncing through his mind and he was trying to get things straight in his head. He had admitted to himself long ago that he was in love with his friend, but knew that he had to deal with the fact that Daniel was unequivocally straight, or at least he had thought he was straight.
Once they had gotten to Jack's house they set about packing for the trip on the following day, then set about making supper. That in it's self wasn't unusual, but some of the things that happened during the meal preparation and the meal it's self gave him cause to think.

Jack's House: One hour earlier / Flashback
Jack had been standing in front of the stove stirring the sauce for the spaghetti, wistfully daydreaming about what Daniel would look like in 'HIS' bed, oblivious to the effects that it was having on his body thanks to a pair of loose sweatpants. Daniel had been standing behind him at the cutting block slicing up the veggies for the salad. Suddenly a loud noise startled Jack and he turned to see what had happened.
"Oh, damn." Daniel mumbled, backing up slightly so that he could retrieve the knife he dropped on the floor.
"Danny, you ok?" Jack asked, standing behind him.
"Yeah, the knife just slipped out of my hand. I got it."
Daniel bent down to pick up the knife, not realizing just how close Jack really was and bumped into him. Startled at finding his ass planted firmly against Jack's very obvious erection, he tried to put some distance between himself and a feeling that was now burned into his memory forever, but he over balanced and before he could straighten up fully and almost took a nose dive onto the floor. The only thing that stopped him from falling was Jack's quick action, as Jack had reflexively placed both of his hands on Daniel's hips and pulled him back towards him, once again making full body contact. Daniel had heard Jack's quick intake of breath as he finally straighten up. They both stood completely still for a moment before Daniel finally found his voice.
"Uh, Thanks Jack. I... uh, you can let go now Jack." Daniel stammered. / So much for being a linguist, Jeez!/
"Ah, yeah. Sorry, Danny." Jack mumbled and quickly turned back to the stove and started to stir the sauce again, just barely managing not to hold the ladle in a death grip.
Daniel had nervously wiped off the knife and gone back to cutting up the stuff for the salad, having to concentrate greatly on what he was doing, instead of his now painfully tight pants, lest he cut himself. Doing what he always did when he got nervous, he started to talk, babble actually, about everything and anything, except what was actually on his mind. Namely the fact that he was alone with Jack in his home and Jack was seriously aroused, and there wasn't a female in sight. Hopefully that meant only one thing, Jack was attracted to him!
The phone rang and Jack walked over and answered it, the call was short. As he walked back to the stove he was thankful that the kitchen island was a low one and had seen how their earlier contact was effecting Daniel. /Oh Boy, was Daniel effected!/
"That was the base. The departure time was pushed back an hour."
"Thats good." Daniel said, wishing the counter was a bit higher.
"Yep, it is. It means we get to stay in bed longer." Jack said and just before wishing he could recall the ill spoken words, he heard a slight gasp come from the man behind him. Not allowing Daniel to start babbling again he added.
"Ok, foods done. Lets eat!"
The looks Daniel had cast him during dinner ranged from curiosity to speculation to a far off look that he only hoped was more than affection. Of course each time Daniel realized that Jack was looking at him, he looked away almost shyly, and stared at his food.
With dinner finished it was time for clean up and they took their usual places at the sink with Jack washing and Daniel drying. The constant accidental contact that their hands made left both of them feeling frustrated and slightly confused.

Jack's House: After Supper / Flash forward
Jack turned off the t.v. since he wasn't watching it and looked at Daniel. He had moved some in his sleep. One hand now hung off the side of the couch, no longer gripping the cushion, and the other was now over his head with his head tipped back and his face turned into the crook of his arm. His left foot was now on the floor and his right leg was stretched out completely on the couch with his warm foot pressed against Jacks thigh. Jack could look at Daniel like this for hours, he just looked so peaceful, so safe, so... beautiful.
Jack shook his head . 'Just get that thought right out of your mind O'Neill, You don't need you're best friend thinking you're a pervert!'
Standing up and reaching behind the couch, jack pulled a blanket off the low bench behind it and covered Daniel with it. Jack carefully leaned down and removed Daniel's glasses and placed them on the foot locker he used as a coffeetable. Making good use of a rare opportunity, Jack reached over and brushed a lock of Daniel's hair out of his face.
Jack retracted his hand quickly as Daniel shifted in his sleep and snuggled deeper into the couch. Daniel was mumbling to himself in his sleep, unfortunately Jack didn't know much Abydonian but he clearly heard his name escape from Daniel's lips in a sigh. More confused than ever, Jack turned off the living room light and went to bed, regretfully alone.

Cascade Airport: The following morning
After debarking from their flight and gathering their luggage Jack and Daniel headed for the car rental to pick up their keys. The flight had been boring. Jack had slept most of the way and Daniel had read one of his books. Neither of them talked about the night before.
"Are you sure you know what you're going to say to your friend, Daniel?"
"Uh, yeah I think so. I'm going to tell him a friend came across the book at a estate auction and passed it on to me for translation."
"That'll work. You want to meet somewhere for lunch first?" Jack asked as he handed Daniel his rental keys.
"No thanks Jack, my friend is making lunch. He's great at coming up with something new and different to make to eat." He said as they left the car port to find their cars.
"Ok then, I'm gonna go grab something for myself then head over to the place this guy works and try to catch up with him there."
"Well, this is where I'll be if you need to get in touch with me." Daniel said as he handed Jack a piece of paper with an address on it. Jack shoved it in his pocket without even looking at it.
"Daniel, be careful." Jack patted him on the shoulder before he backed away and went to look for his own car. The thought of Daniel on his own just didn't set right with him any more.
"Don't worry Jack. Cascade is one of my old stomping grounds. I went to college here for a year." Daniel said and smiled as he got in his rental and started the car. Jack just gave him a look that said 'Just humor me.'
Daniel beeped as he passed Jack and drove away.

The Loft:
Blair had just come down stairs after returning the Guardians book to it's hiding place behind the hidden wall panel when someone knocked at the door.
His face split with a grin when he opened the door. "DANIEL!"
Blair pulled his friend into a hug and as he dragged him into the loft. "Hey Blair."
"Oh, man. It's so good to see you. How have you been?"
Daniel hugged him back then released him and walked further into the loft while Blair closed the door and headed into the kitchen. " Good and You? Wow, nice Place."
Blair smiled. "It's home."
"What? Mister 'I'm-never-going-to-set-down-roots-anywhere', ACTUALLY has a place he calls HOME?" Daniel laughed and accepted a soda Blair handed him.
"Ok, ok. Pick on the little guy, why don't ya. Hey, did you want a beer instead of the soda or do you still taste the beer from that last party we went to together?" Blair poked Daniel in the side.
"This is ok, thanks. And NO I still don't like beer. I still can't believe how much you got me to drink the last time."
Blair ushered him over to the couch and they sat down. "So, to what do I owe the honor of this visit?"
Daniel put his soda down on the coffeetable and pulled out the book he brought with him and handed it to Blair. "Well, a friend of mine came across this in an Estate sale and asked me to translate it, fortunately I think it's in one of the languages that you picked to study so I need help."
Blair held his breath when he saw the book. If he didn't know any better, he would swear that it was identical to the Guardians book. Taking the book from Daniel he felt the same tell tale tingling feeling he got when he picked up the Guardians book for the first time, but the feeling passed quickly and he was slightly startled when he heard Daniel laugh.
"Yeah, I felt the same awe when I first saw it too. It's pretty impressive. So, do you think you can translate it? My... ah... friend, is kind of in a hurry to get it back."
Blair looked at his friend. Something wasn't quite right, what wasn't Daniel telling him? Opening up his senses he was able to lightly scan his friends mind. If he had had a closed tie to his friend, more frequent contact, he would be able to pick up a lot more like he could with Simon but he did know one thing. Daniel was definitely hiding something and he was nervous.
Yeah, sure. I'm sure we can figure it out. My roommate should be home soon and lunch will be done in about an hour." Blair said, trying to keep his voice neutral.
"You have a roommate? Is she cute? Or have you finally found that special 'Someone' you were looking for?" Daniel joked.
"Well, if you must know HE is absolutely gorgeous, and he's all mine! So keep your mitt's off."
"No WAY!! You DIDN'T! You...you..,?" Daniel was quiet for a second before continuing.
"Are you happy Blair?"
"Oh, man. You have NO idea. He's my everything." Blair frowned when he say the look on Daniel's face.
"Hey Danny, you ok?" Daniel twitched slightly at his name. "Danny, What's wrong? You DID remember that I was BI..., right?"
"Don't be silly Blair, how could I forget? You were the one who made me realize that I was too, remember? I just, I really like this guy I work with but he comes off quite...military, if you know what I mean."
Blair had to laugh. "Oh BOY, do I! Just wait until you meet Jim and you'll see what I mean."
"Ok, um.., why don't we try to get some of the book translated before lunch."
"Sure, just let me grab a pen and a pad of paper."

Outside The Cascade P.D. :45 minutes later
Jack was on his way back to his car when his very cryptic conversation with Major Crimes Captain finally sunk in. He had had to use military pull to get an address out of the tall captain, Teal'k would really like that guy, but after one well placed phone call he had gotten what he was after. As he looked at the address he had in his hand he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. Jack pulled out the paper with the address of where Daniel said he was going to be and even before he looked, he knew what he'd find.
The addresses were identical.
"Only you Danny, only you."

The Loft: 10 Minutes Later
Blair and Daniel had been translating the book for almost an hour. Blair had been making mental notes to himself the whole time. The book Daniel had brought to him wasn't identical to the Guardians book... It's was PART of it !!!! Now he had to try to hide some of his findings from his friend since the book was practically describing Jim and himself to a tee. Some parts of it didn't make sense to him but he could tell by the anxiety pouring off Daniel that he definitely did.
The phone ringing startled both anthropologists and they both laughed at how engrossed they had become in the translation. Blair got up and walked into the kitchen and answered the phone before the third ring.
*Hello?*
*Blair are you ok?* Blair frowned, Simon called him 'Blair'. This can't be good. He could feel his heart rate increasing.
*Sure Simon, what's up?*
*Is Jim with you?*
*No, but I expect him home soon. What's going on?*
*I just got a visit from someone of the military persuasion, if you know what I mean.*
*Shit! Um, as far as I know were ok Simon, But you might want to pull out the file and keep your cell phone handy. I'll have Jim call you as soon as he gets in.* // Code three for right now Simon//
*Blair, be careful.*
*We will, and Simon...?*
*Yeah Blair?* //Be ready for anything //
*Thanks.*
*I hear that, bye Blair.*
*Later Simon*
Blair hung up the phone and smiled. Hearing his mothers phrase 'I hear that' coming from Simon was weird, but it had fit they're code system to a T when they needed to know for sure that Simon had received a mental message from Blair.
Frowning again he checked his cell phone batteries and decided to wait no more than five minutes before he called Jim.
"Blair, is everything ok?"
Damn. He had forgotten about Daniel. If they ran into government trouble it wouldn't be very good for his friend to be here. Now to try to send his friend packing as quickly and politely as possible. Yeah... RIGHT!
Just as he was about to try to talk his friend into leaving, and hopefully without the book, Jim came in the back door.
"JIM! Oh man am I glad to see you." Blair said as he rushed over and wrapped his arms around Jim's waist and buried his face in his in Jim's open jacket front.
"Ah, Chief....? You have company, what's going on?"
// We're at code three Jim. Simon called. Someone was looking for you at the station.// //Suits or greens?// //I don't think they were M.I.B.'s. He said military type.// // Ok, just calm down for now. We have plenty of warning.//
"So who's your friend Chief?" //And won't he think you holding me kind of weird?//
"Oh, sorry. Daniel Jackson meet Jim Ellison, Jim meet Daniel. We went to college together for a year."
Jim pried Blair off him and walked over to Daniel to shake his hand.
"Nice to meet you, Daniel."
"Nice to meet you too." He smiled then looked at Blair. "You were right Blair, I see what you mean now."
Blair had to laugh at the puzzled look on Jim's face.
"Blair?"
"Sorry, Jim. Daniel is kind of in serious 'LIKE' with a friend of his but he said that his friend came off as too 'military' and that it could never happen. I told him he was wrong and that he'd understand when you got home." Blair got Jim a beer from the fridge and handed it to him, then took the food out of the oven to cool.
Jim came up behind Blair, brushed the hair off his neck and leaned in to whisper in his ear.
"So what you mean is, if I just decided to grab your ass and kiss you until you can't breathe he wouldn't mind?"
A shiver ran through Blair and he turned around to respond to Jim's jest. He found out that Jim wasn't jesting and held on to Jim for dear life as he was thoroughly kissed and squeezed.
A knock at the door broke them apart and Daniel jumped up from the couch to answer the door.
"I'll get it. It's probably just Jack. I told him I'd be here." In a softer voice he added "Please don't say anything to Jack, he doesn't know I'm Bi."
"No problem, kid. Just answer the door. If it's Simon, he probably thinks we're ignoring him."
Daniel opened the door "Hi Jack, come on in." and Jack entered the loft.
In those few seconds after the door opened, Blair froze where he stood when he saw the look on Jim's face and realized that their world had just turned upside down.
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
The Loft:
Daniel had never seen someone go from absolutely loving and playful one second, to the messenger of death in the next second so quickly in his entire life!!! To be honest, he never wanted to see it again...EVER!!!
"What...?" Blair never got to finish asking his question as he was quickly pulled back behind Jim.
"WHOA, easy big guy." Jack said as he raised his hands and took a step back.
Blair recognized the new arrival and swore under his breath. "SHIT!" He now knew why he was hidden behind Jim, who now had is gun out and pointed at Daniel's friend 'Jack' who he knew to be one 'Colonel Jack O'Neill'.
(Looks like my last few secrets are about to come out of the closed. Damn. I hope Jim will forgive me for not telling him.)
"What the hell is going on??!!" Daniel asked as he tried to move in front of Jack, only to be pushed back behind him. The gesture was not lost on Blair.
Jim took out his cell phone and handed it to Blair as he spoke two sharp words. "Code Alpha."
"At ease 'Captain'." Jack said, trying to ease the tension of the situation.
"Be quite." Jim spoke calmly, the hostility in his voice just barely concealed.
"Chief, make the call. Now!"
Blair took the cell phone and made the call he hoped he'd never have to make.
*BANKS!* Shouted the voice on the other end.
*Code Alpha, Activate now.*
*SHIT! Ok, Blair go ahead. How many?*
Blair watched as Jim tilted his head and listened for a moment before speaking.
"One." Jim looked at Blair when he didn't relay the information right away and saw that he was looking at Daniel.
*Two.* Blair was positive that Daniel was working with Jack, but not to what extent. It was better to be safe than sorry.
*Time?* Simon asked.
Blair looked at Jim for the answer again.
"One hour."
*One hour.* Blair hoped Simon would follow all the rules they had set up for this situation.
*Code* Simon's voice was showing signs of anxiety.
Blair quickly held the phone to Jim so he could answer.
*Garbage Truck*
Blair returned the phone to his own ear and gave his own code.
*Red* //Frisbee.//
*I hear that. Code accepted and activated. Good Luck*
Blair hung up the phone and looked at Jack and Daniel, who hadn't spoken since Jim told them not too.
Stepping around Jim to stand at his side he addressed Jack.
"Alright Colonel O'Neill. Just what exactly do you want from us?"
The look on Jim's face was one of absolute shock. "Chief? How the hell did you know he was a Colonel? Did Daniel tell you?"
Blair shot a side ways glance at him before looking back at the Colonel and waited for the shoe to drop.
"Not exactly Jim. I sort of know the Colonel from a few years ago, about a year before I met Daniel."
"Sandburg, what the HELL are you talking about!!??" Jim was starting to feel the uneasiness radiating off his partner.
"Sandburg? B.J. Sandburg?" Jack looked at Daniel for conformation, his eyebrows raised in question, as Daniel nodded his head.
"Blair, how the Hell do you two know each other?"
Loud laughter drew Jim's attention back to Jack.
"Blair? THATS what the B stands for? No wonder you wouldn't tell anyone what the B stood for, you would have got the crap kicked out of you!" Jack was still laughing as he sat down on the couch and wiped the tears out of his eyes.
"Blair, talk to me?" Jim was now getting worried as he saw Blair tense up at Jack's laughter.
Blair took a deep cleansing breath and released it slowly as he readied himself to finely tell Jim part of what he had kept hidden for so long.
"Jim, do you remember when Kincade took over the PD?"
"Yeah."
"And do you remember what I said to the pilot in the helicopter?"
"Yeah, you said that he shouldn't try anything funny because you flew Apache's in Desert Storm. I was impressed that you got him to believe you. I guess obsfucation can be a good thing."
Jack who had finally managed to stop laughing erupted all over again, grabbing his stomach and rolling to the side as he laughed.
Daniel looked at Jack in total surprise. He had never seen Jack act like this.
"Umm, Jack? Let's try not to anger the man with the gun pointed at you, ok?"
Jack just waved a hand at him, still unable to draw a full breath for anything but laughter.
Blair looked Jim directly in the eyes." Jim, It wasn't totally a lie."
"WHAT?" Jim shouted, barely able to keep his own ears from throbbing at the volume.
Jack had finally managed to regain his power of speech.
"What's a matter Captain? You didn't know that you friend here was in the Army? Warrant Officer, first class if I'm not mistaken." He said, chuckling slightly.
"Jim, can we talk about this later, Please?" // I'll tell you everything, including why I hate guns. Please?//
"Ok Chief." //This is..., this will be difficult for you wont it? Other wise you would have told me before.//
//You have no idea. Do you still trust me, Jim?//
//Always. I love you kid'o.//
Jim turned his attention back to Jack. "Alright Colonel, I believe the question on the table was, what do you want from us?"
Jack looked at Daniel. "Danny...? Care to take this one?"
"Uh, I...ah.." Daniel was wide eyed and at a loss for words. His mind was still trying to accept the fact that his peace loving, gun hating friend had been in the army.
"I think I can explain some of this just by going by what I translated from the book you brought Daniel. I just need to figure out one word and then I'm sure I'll have most of what you're after."
Daniel and Jack looked at each other uneasily.
Blair turned to Jim. "What does, -whispering a word in the Chopec language-, mean?"
Jim thought about it for a minute, then answered.
"Loosely translated, it means 'Star'. Does that help?"
Blair gasped and quickly shot a glance at Daniel and Jack.
"Unfortunately it does. I know what the book is asking for but before I will even THINK of telling you, I just have one question for Daniel."
"Hey, if you know what that book tells us we need to find, you tell us and you can have just about any damn thing you want!" Jack said before Daniel had a chance to find out Blair's question.
"Jack." Daniel warned. "What's your question Blair?"
"What is the great circle of light?"
Blair watched them both tense up.
"Whoa, you don't ask the easy ones, do you? Ah, I need to get approval before we can answer that. Do you mind if I use my cell phone." Jack asked looking at Jim.
"Go ahead." Jim said, only tensing briefly when Jack put his hand in his pocket to pull out his cell phone. Returning his gun to it's holster when he didn't smell a weapon on Jack, he sat down at the kitchen table and turned up his hearing to listen in to the phone call.
Blair realized that Jim planned to listen in and stood in front of him to block him from their view.
*General Hammond*
*Ah, Sir. It's Jack*
*What can I do for you Colonel?*
*Well Sir, we have someone here who knows what the book tells us we need*
*Good. That's very good Colonel. Can we get what ever it is?*
*Well, not quite sure about that yet Sir. He asked a question that we need authorization for.*
*Colonel, I don't care WHAT he asked or what he's asking for in return. You have the President's ok to answer any question you deem necessary. Since the Stargate to Abydos was closed, that planet is the only one we've gated to with people willing to share their Naquida., and that's only IF we bring them what their looking for, they may be primitive people but it's still their planet. Am I understood, Colonel?*
*Sir, just for clarification, If they want to know where we WORK, I have permission?*
The line was silent for a moment.
*Colonel, if necessary, you have permission for full disclosure.*
*Yes, Sir!*
Jack hung up and was quiet for a few minutes. The quiet was shattered by the phone ringing and Blair answered it.
*Ellison residence*
*Blair? It's been ten minutes. I need code verification* Blair looked at Jim then handed him the phone.
*Simon, Code Professor, deactivate.*
*Thank the Lord!*
*Ah, Simon. We may need some more time off.*
*Why and how much? Two more weeks. We're going on a field trip.*
*What? Everything's ok right?*
*Yeah, we're fine, but we may have a chance to end all this, safely and permanently*
*Alright, time off approved. Put Sandburg on.*
Jim handed Blair the phone.
*Blair? Will you both be alright?*
*Yeah Simon, I really think we will.* //Code Caveman, deactivate//
*I hear that. Call me when you get back. And don't forget that next month you and Jim have to go to that Forensics conference next month in Toronto, since you're missing the one here. I swear, you two planned this just to stay away to get out of any paper work you might have had to do before you left.*
Blair chuckled *bye Simon.*
Hanging up the phone, he looked up at Jim. "We need to talk first before I can give them what they're after."
Jim looked at Jack for a minute and realizing that he wasn't going any where. Ushering Blair up the loft stairs he turned back slightly and said "Beer's in the fridge." then followed Blair the rest of the way up the stairs into the bedroom.
"Sweet!" Jack said as he got up to get a beer. "You want one Danny?"
Daniel groaned "Jack, how many times do I have to tell you. I don't LIKE beer."
Jack smiled as he returned to his seat, he loved teasing Daniel about his dislike for beer, making himself at home he turned on the TV.
Tossing Daniel his cell phone he said "Why don't you see if you can get us a room with a couple of bed's some where. We won't be able to get out of here by tonight."
Daniel sighed "Sure, Jack."
The Loft: The upstairs bedroom
Jim and Blair faced each other as they sat on the bed.
"Ok, so what did you hear, Jim?"
"Well, I know that we can basically ask for anything and we'll get it, per orders of the President."
"Oh, WOW! What else?"
"Well, he was talking about Planets, primitive people, a 'Stargate' and something called 'Naquida'. Does that make any sense or help any?"
"Actually, yes it does. Although I have no idea what 'Naquida' is. I know what they are after though."
"It seemed pretty important to them Chief. Their willing to risk just about anything to get what they need for it."
"Jim do me a favor and do a security scan. We can't take any chances with this."
Jim opened his senses and listened as Daniel hung up his phone in aggravation and Jack laughed at something on the TV. Other than that it was clear of anything that could be potentially dangerous.
"Ok, we're clear. So what do they need to find?"
Blair released a slow breath as he spoke sentinel soft.
"Three things. The Guardians book, and the Sentinel and Guide who have bonded through life and death. Namely..., Us. Jim, remember what Jaren said about us going on a Journey? I think this that is what this is about. "
Jim took Blairs hands in his and gave them a warm squeeze.
"I though that's was what it might have been when you asked me the word for 'Star' in Chopec. I realized that the book Daniel brought was written in Quechen, just like the Guardians book. Are you ok with this?"
"I'm not sure. As long as we're together I'll be fine though."
"Blair, do you want to talk about um, being in the army?"
"I'm not quite ready for that right now Jim, but I promise I will tell you soon."
Jim pulled Blair into his lap and wrapped his arms around him. Kissing him softly on the top of his curly head, he opened his senses and focused them on his Guide, firmly resetting his anchor to the world which had been thrust off kilter.
"We'll be ok. And if we play this right, we will be able to keep the government off our backs forever."
Blair lifted his head, leaned in and softly kissed his sentinel.
"As long as we're together forever, I don't care what happens."
"Ok, Romeo. Lets get back down stairs."
Blair bounced off the bed. "Oh, man, this is going to freak Danny out!!"
The Loft: downstairs
"Sorry Jack, this is the seventh one and they only have one room with a queen bed. It's either this or we sleep in our cars."
"Ok, Danny. You might as well take it. I guess the other hotels meant it when they said 'no room at the inn', huh?"
Jack barely hid the fact that he had NOOOOO problem with the idea of sharing a bed with Daniel.
Jim and Blair came down the stairs as Daniel finished his call. "Sorry Danny, all the hotels are taken due to a Forensics conference. I was going to offer you my old room to sleep in while you were here."
Jack watched as a blush slowly crept up Daniel's neck and face. Then looking at Jim and Blair, simply said "Oh, I see." And shrugged.
"Ok, I think we all remember what my question was, do we get an answer?"
Daniel cleared his throat after Jack gave him the nod to go ahead.
"Um, the circle of light is actually called the Stargate."
"Uh, huh. Why do you want the objects that the book asks for? What do you plan to do with them?" Blair leaned back against Jim's chest for support and Jim's arms immediately went around his waist. These two questions scared him more than he wanted to admit.
"Um, well actually we need to present them to the village Elder who gave me the book as soon as possible. We're under the impression that something is supposed to happen there very soon and what ever it is we're supposed to bring back is part of what ever that is that's happening."
Blair visibly relaxed. This WAS the journey they were supposed to take.
"Ok, I'll tell you, but we have conditions." Blair looked back at Jim, and leaned further into his embrace, when he nodded his approval.
"Look, guys. You can have pretty much what ever you want. Now for crying out loud, tell us what the Hell we're looking for!"
Blair looked directly at his friend. "You're looking for the other half of the book you brought and..., and us."
"Okay, no more beer for you!" Jack snorted in disbelief.
Daniel just looked at his friend. "You're serious, aren't you?"
Blair moved away from Jim. "Jim, go get the book." Jim went upstairs and got the book. In the entire time he was gone, no one spoke.
When he returned he handed the book to Blair.
"HEY, that looks just like the book I brought with me!!! Can I see that?"
"NO! Sorry Danny, but no one can touch it but Jim and I."
Jack got up and walked over to look at the book. "Oh, yeah...Right!"
Making what he was later sure to be the worst mistake in his life, Jack grabbed the book.
The Loft: 20 Minutes Later
The next thing he knew was that he was laying on the couch with a wet cloth over his eyes and a pain WAY to similar to a Go'auld infesting his brain shooting around in his head. This was something he never wanted to feel again, the first time was enough and he still had nightmares of being implanted then frozen. NOT fun!
"Jack? How are you feeling?"
Someone was caressing his forehead and brushing his hair aside. Daniel's voice softly broke through the pain in his head, and Jack realized that there wasn't a pillow under his head, but a warm lap that belonged to one Daniel Jackson. Ok, so he died and went to heaven, he could deal.
Jack turned his head in closed to the warmth of the body cradling his head, and groaned when the movement produced a slight spike in his head.
"Come on Jack. Time to wake up now, please." The worry in Daniel's voice was enough to force him to slowly but fully wake up.
"Danny?" He groaned and raised a hand to remove the cloth on his head.
"Yeah, Jack?" He answered, relief evident in his voice.
"What hit me and you get the license number?"
Daniel chuckled and Jack groaned again at the unexpected movement.
"Sorry Jack, but you really should have known better." Daniel whispered.
"Just because we're on our own planet doesn't mean that we should disregard a warning. If I pulled a stunt like that...," Jack cut him off with a dirty look.
"Ok, WHEN I pull a stunt like that you're all over me about it. So..., how's your foot taste?"
Almost at a loss for a decent come back, Jack shot him with another nasty look and said. "Oh, bite me Daniel!" as he slowly sat up. Never once questioning why he had been in Daniel's lap.
"Welcome back to the land of the living, Colonel. I'm going to assume that you wont try that again. You don't have any of the qualifications needed to hold or touch the Guardians book."
"Ah, no. I'll pass thanks." Jack said rubbing his head.
A look of shock crossed Daniel's face as he looked at Blair who was now holding the book.
"The Guardian's book? My God, Blair. You found it? Did you also find....?" Looking from Blair to Jim then at the book a light clicked on. Having known Blair's main focus of study from college, he put two and two together.
"You did find." He whispered. It wasn't a question and Blair just nodded his head after receiving approval once again from Jim.
"What did he find, Danny? What's going on here.?" Jack grumbled, shaking off the last of the effects the Guardian's book had had on him.
"Um, I really think that this discussion should be tabled for now Jack. Like, until we're back at the mountain. I really don't want to have to explain this more than once and I don't Jim and Blair do either." Daniel watched as they both nodded in confirmation.
"Ok, whatever. Can we just get out of here for now? It's not every day I get bit by a book. I just want a shower, a hot meal, and a bed."
"Sure Jack. Blair, I'll make the flight arrangements if you want."
"Actually Danny, Jim and I will make our own travel plans if you don't mind. No offense, Man."
"Ok, Blair. I'll call you later from the hotel and let you know what time we can meet tomorrow." Daniel said as he opened the door to leave. "Come on Jack, lets go."
"Yeah, later people. It's been real. No strike that. It's been Unreal. Let's go Danny."
Jack said as he exited the loft ahead of Daniel.
"Bye guys." Daniel closed the door Behind him as he left.
Blair looked at Jim. "I think this is going to be a very interesting two weeks."
Jim nodded. "You can say that again Chief."
Daniel helped Jack into the car since he was still a bit dizzy.
"Are you ok Jack?" He asked with some concern.
"Yeah Danny, I'm fine. Just a bit tired." He said and to prove his point he leaned back against the headrest and closed his eyes.
"Will you be ok for a few minutes? I have to go back upstairs, I forgot the book."
"Sure, go." Jack waved him off.
Daniel closed the car door and went back into the building.
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~ The Loft: Upstairs ~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
Jim had been monitoring the pair from the moment the left the building and Blair had been quietly waiting for the all clear when Jim spoke up as he looked around the livingroom.
"Daniel's coming back up, Chief. He forgot the book." Spying the forgotten book on the coffeetable, he picked it up.
"Uh, oh. Ah, Chief...? I think we may have a problem." Jim said as he sat down quickly on the couch and waited for the slight wave of dizziness to pass.
"Jim, what wrong? What happened, are you ok?" He was quickly at his side on the couch and placed a hand on his arm to ground him.
Before he could answer, Daniel was knocking at the door.
"Come on in Danny." Blair called out, without ever taking his attention off of Jim.
Daniel entered the loft and looked at the two on the couch.
"Sorry guys, I forgot the book. Hey, are you two ok?"
"Jim?" Blair nudged him to get an answer.
"Yeah, I'm ok now, but I don't think Daniel will be able to take his part of the book with him." He said, handing the book to Blair.
"What? What do you mean?" Daniel asked apprehension clearly written on his face.
As soon as Blair held the book, he knew the problem.
"Shit, I should have known that this might happen. Um, Danny I hate to say this but I think that your half of the Guardians Book has been, well for lack of a better word, activated. You won't be able to touch it anymore or what happened to Jack will happen to you too. I'm sorry, I really should have known this would happen."
Daniel's heart sunk, the book was Government property and he was responsible for it, but he knew that it couldn't be in safer hands than with Blair.
"Are you sure about this Blair? How do you know?" He asked, hoping for a way around the problem.
"I picked up the book when I heard you say that you forgot it. I was going to meet you at the door with it but I felt my hand and arm suddenly go all tingly then I got a little dizzy for a minute. That happens to me every time I pick up our half of the Guardian's book with out Blair grounding me first. I doesn't really bother me anymore, but I wasn't expecting it so it took me by surprise." Jim said, finally free of the dizzying effect the book had produced.
Daniel was just standing there with a look of shock on his face. He hadn't heard much more than the first sentence and was still trying to get over the fact that Jim had heard him talking to Jack when he was down in the car.
Blair misread Daniel facial expression, and with all of his ability's focused on Jim, he tried to offer him more evidence that Jim was telling the truth.
"I'm sorry, Danny. I felt it too. I promise to take good care of it and protect it, just as I have my half. Danny...?"
Daniel blinked a few times before he turned his stunned expression from Jim to Blair.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I trust you with it Blair. I'm more disappointed that I can't touch it anymore, than anything else... except... (turning to look Jim in the eyes) You really heard me downstairs!"
Jim smiled, then had to stifle a laugh as his hearing briefly focused on Jack down in the car, who was presently grumbling to himself.

Jack was starting to get aggravated, Daniel was taking too long for his liking. All he wanted to do was go lay down so that his head would finally stop spinning.
"Come on Daniel!" Jack grumbled. "I REALLY want to go to relax, my brain feels like mush. Lets go, Danny. Sandburg may be cute, but he is most definitely taken... (sigh) And so are you if you'd only open your eyes." The last part of the sentence Jack whispered sadly to himself.
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~ The Loft: Upstairs ~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
A stunned look crossed Jim's face, and Blair thought he zoned. "Jim, are you ok? Are you still feeling dizzy?"
Jim smiled at Blair. "Yeah, Chief. I'm fine." Turning to look at Daniel he spoke carefully. "Daniel, are you sure Jack is straight?"
"Huh, WHAT? Why would you ask me that?" He said looking confused.
"Well, he seems to be a bit anxious about the fact that you're still up here alone with us, since Blair is obviously taken, and..."
Blair watched as a look of hope crossed his friends face, he had already figured out that Jack felt the same way Danny did, by the way Jack had stood between Daniel and Jim's gun when he first arrived.
"And...? AND ??" Daniel was gripping the chair in front of him causing his knuckles to turn white.
"He's under the impression that you are also already taken,... by him."
Jim could see the relief was across Daniel's face, this was obviously good news to the young man.
Daniel released his grip on the chair and started to back towards the door.
"Uh, guys I think I'm gonna get going. I think I want to get Jack to the hotel A.S.A.P., and I'll call you tomorrow like I said, so we can arrange where to meet before we head to the mountain. Bye guys" And with that said, he was out the door.
Jim listened until Daniel was downstairs and in the car. He heard Jack complain about how long it took Danny to return, but said nothing about his feelings. Shaking his head, he realized that Colonel O'Neill was just like he used to be with his own feelings. Hopefully Daniel wouldn't have to die before Jack got a clue. He heard the car pull away and returned his attention to the loft and to Blair who was waiting patiently.
Jim pulled Blair on top of him to straddle his lap while they sat on the couch.
"All clear. We'll call Simon in a while and fill him in, but right now...,"
With one hand on Blairs waist and one hand emersed in curls holding the back of his head, Jim pulled him in close for a kiss. Blair moaned at the onslaught and intensity of the kiss, wrapping his arms around Jim's neck and pulling in even closer, until they had to come up for air. Gasping, Blair rested his forehead against Jim's, and he was just barely able to find the breath to ask his question.
"But right now?" He smiled as he lightly nipped at his Sentinel's lips, causing Jim to groan and lever Blair slightly away from him until he was fully upright.
"But right now, as much as we'd like to continue with this, I really think that we need to talk, don't you?" He asked, looking into Blair's eyes questioningly.
Blair closed his eyes and swallowed nervously. He had been hiding this part of his life, not only from Jim, but from himself for a long time. As painful as it was going to be to remember the past, it was time.
Nodding his head, he opened his eyes and looked into the eyes of his Sentinel and saw the love that he had for him, and he knew that he could do this. Once and for all, he could finally face his worst nightmare, and gratefully, he didn't have to do it alone.
Daniel sat on the couch in front of the t.v. The room was HUGE!!! Not only had there been only one room left in the hotel, but it was the Honeymoon suite! Needless to say, there was only one (very big) bed, and Jack and him would have to share.
Like THAT was a problem, YEAH... RIGHT!
The trip from Jim and Blair's was a quiet one. Jack had pretty much dozed off a few minutes after he had gotten into the car, but only after grumbling briefly about the length of time it took him to get back to the car. Once they had registered for their room, they took the elevator up to their floor. Jack hadn't said much about the fact that they'd have to share the bed except...
"Hell, Danny. It's not like we haven't shared close quarters before. I'm going to take a shower, why don't you order us some food from room service." With that said, he had disappeared into the bathroom.
Daniel had already placed their dinner order and had been watching the t.v. for a while, when he realized that the water in the bathroom had yet to turn on.
"Jack? Everything okay in there?"
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~ In The Bathroom: Jack ~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
After leaning against the bathroom wall for several minutes, Jack finally straightened up and looked around the room.
"The very BIG bathroom, with a very big tub." Jack murmured to himself.
His body still ached from the jolt that he had taken from that damn book. Rolling his right shoulder and massaging it with his left hand, he took a long look at the tub. He had been really stupid, and Daniel had been right, if Danny HAD done what he had, Jack would have been all over him for it. Talk about the mother of all stupid moves. Jack shook his head, totally disgusted with himself for not believing Blair. His own jealousy had taken hold of him when he had seen how Jim and Blair were with each other. He had realized that he wanted what they had, and he wanted it with Daniel. So as usual when he was angry or pissed, he reacted first and he never got a chance to 'think' about it until after it was already too late. Well, he was definitely suffering for it now.
Jack looked at the tub again. It WAS enormous, big enough for two people at least, but that was kind of the point in a suite like this, and the tub looked absolutely inviting, it had been ages since he had even seen one that was big enough to actually totally submerge in. Could he? He was brought out of his deliberation by a call from the other room.
"Jack? Everything okay in there?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Jack said, as he reached over and turned on the water and pulled the plug. Decision made.
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~ The Hotel Room: Daniel ~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
Daniel chuckled, as he heard the water filling the tub, but before he could comment about it, there was a knock at the door.
"Room service." A voice called through the door.
He got up and went to the door and opened it. A beautiful young woman dressed in a hotel uniform pushed the large wheeled table into the room. Daniel gaped, mouth open, at the mountainous amount of food and champagne on the table as the woman left briefly then returned with an ice bucket and stand, with another bottle of champagne.
"Um," It took Daniel a second to get his brain working.
"What's all this? I know I didn't order all that." He said looking slightly confused.
Smiling the woman said. "oh, don't worry. It's complements of the house."
Quietly, behind him the bathroom door opened and jack leaned part way out the door to find out what was going on.
Daniel sputtered "But we're not here on honeymoon, this was just the last room they had!" Looking back at the mounds of food, his mouth began to water.
The woman glanced over at the movement by the bathroom and smiled, then spoke to Daniel again.
"Don't worry about it. There's supposed to be some important big wig in the hotel somewhere, and the owner wants to impress him, so everyone is getting five star treatment. Just enjoy it, cause this will almost never happen again." She said as she backed out of the room.
"Wait." Daniel reached into his pocket and got the woman her tip. "Thanks."
She accepted the money and left the room closing the door behind her as she said,
"Enjoy... and have FUN!"
Daniel picked up the bottle of champagne, looked at the big bed that him and Jack would both share and said quietly to himself.
"Don't I wish." Looking at the bottle again, he raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Well, maybe...,"
The bathroom door snicked quietly closed so Daniel never heard Jacks grinned reply.
"You can count on it lady. Come hell or high water, you can count on it."
~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~^~~~
The Hotelroom:
Jack quickly pulled the tub plug and flipped on the shower. He smiled to himself. He had a plan, and that didn't allow time for a bath, at least not now and definitely NOT alone.
"Jack, the foods here." Daniel called from the other room.
"I'll be right out." Jack said as he washed up as quickly as possible. Although he was no longer dizzy his skin still felt sensitive. So when he finally got out of the shower, he opted for just a pair of sweat shorts instead of boxers, sweats and a t-shirt. Although a short one, the shower had felt great. He wasn't tired any more, actually he felt kind of energized. Which was really a good thing since he was planning a total attack on one Daniel Jackson.
Draping the damp towel around his neck for effect, drying his hair with one end, he exited the bathroom whistling. Daniel was just turning around when Jack came out of the bathroom. Jack smiled and figuratively patted himself on the back when he caught the look on Danny's face. It was one of those 'Deer caught in the headlights' looks. Walking over to the food table, he rattled a few of the lids as he checked what was under them. The noise was just enough to pull Daniel back to reality.
"Jeez, Danny. What you do..., order everything on the menu?" He said, pretending that he hadn't heard the woman's comments.
"Uh," Daniel swallowed and tried again, hoping that he wasn't drooling over the sight of Jack in shorts and OBVIOUSLY 'nothing' else.
"Oh, ah, there's someone important staying in the hotel but the owner doesn't know where, so everyone is kinda getting the five star treatment." He finally managed to say before jumping at the sound of the cork popping off the champagne bottle.
Jack smiled again and handed him a glassful. "Free benny's... Sweet." He practically purred. Raising his own glass in a toast he added. "To..., to fortuitous happenstance."
The both drank almost all of what was in their glasses before starting in on the food. It wasn't too long before the second cork was popped and more food was consumed. All with little or no conversation since both were in thought. Jack had completed his planning, smiling all the while, and Daniel was just trying to figure Jack out.
An hour later found them both sitting on the couch watching a hockey game, Jack's luck seemed to be holding... it was his favorite team.
Although it was still early, Daniel was getting sleepy due to all the champagne
and decided to take a shower. Jack watched as he gathered his stuff together and head for the bathroom.
"Don't get lost in there, that bathroom is huge!" Jack chuckled, he had known that Daniel, once well fed and nicely buzzed, would want a shower. He smiled as the door closed, this was all part of his plan. As soon as the water in the shower started he quickly got up and found the things he was looking for and put them on the nightstand and covered them with a towel so they wouldn't been seen until needed.
Daniel was relatively fast in the shower, since water was almost a luxury on Abydos and wasting it was frowned upon... but DAMN it felt good.
Still nicely buzzed but more awake and refreshed he quickly put on his boxers and shorts then rejoined Jack in the main room.
By the time Daniel left the bathroom, Jack had shut off the TV and most of the lights and had crawled into bed to lay face down under the covers, feigning sleep.
"Damn." Daniel muttered under his breath as he carefully made his way to the bed in the darkness. Getting zapped by the book must have tired Jack out more than he had thought.
Having no reason to stay awake, he crawled into the bed next to Jack and lay down on his back. He watched Jack sleep for a few minutes, then ever so carefully he reached over and lightly brushed his finger over a piece of hair that was standing at an odd angle. With a sigh, he tucked his hand and arm up behind his head and closed his eyes.
Daniel had finally let his body start to relax when he felt the bed dip, but he ignored it, thinking that Jack was just getting up to use the bathroom. When he realized that the weight on the bed had shifted again he opened his eyes. He barely had time to gasp as Jack covered his lips in a soul-searing kiss. They groaned simultaneously as Daniel returned the kiss, slowly wrapping one hand around Jack's waist and the other in Jacks hair pulling him closer.
Jack pulled back from the hungrily shared kiss and looked into Daniel's eyes for a moment before speaking.
"I have a deal for you Danny, a one time offer." Breathing heavily, he did his best to keep on track with his plan. Everything had to be said now, before they went any further.
Daniel stared at Jack with a look of confusion "One time offer? What exactly do you mean by 'one time offer'?"
"What I mean Danny," pausing for another quick kiss "is that I will only ask you once, and if you say no, I'll never speak of it again. As if this moment never happened. The choice is yours, but I hope you say yes." He said, stealing another kiss.
Daniel swallowed nervously. This was what he wanted right? Slowly he traced Jacks jaw then his lips with his finger, before quietly asking,
"Does this offer come with a life time warranty? Because I don't accept offers like this that only offer a 30 day money back guarantee."
Jack kissed the finger that passed over his lips. "Daniel, I can only promise you that until... the batteries die, ( both of them shivered slightly at the thought of dying) the offer remains valid. Do you..., will you accept the... 'my' offer?" Stealing another quick kiss before Daniel could speak, just incase he said no.
"Jack I know that there are no real guarantee's in life, but I know a good deal when I see one. Do you take credit cards?" Reaching up, he stole a kiss of his own.
Jack smiled and leaned forward so that his lips hovered just over Daniel's and whispered.
"I'm sure we can work our some form of payment." The kiss that followed left them both feeling like they only had one operating brain cell between them.
Sliding a hand down between them, Jack pressed firmly against Daniel's bulging manhood and rubbing slightly, causing him to groan and then to whimper as he stilled the movements of his hand. When the kiss ended they were both breathing hard. Jack had regained enough to ask the only other question that he needed an answer for.
"Daniel...," he asked as he nuzzled Daniel's ear with his nose. "Do you know what you're doing? I mean have you...?" Leaving the rest unsaid as he leaned up to look at Daniel. The light blush that crept up his neck into his cheeks as he closed his eyes and turned his face away gave Jack the indication that he needed to slow down.
"Danny, look at me. Is this too much? Do you want me to stop?"
Keeping his eyes closed Daniel shook his head, then placed his hands on Jack's shoulders to keep him in place as he tried, unsuccessfully, to control his ragged breathing.
"Danny, please look at me. Do you want this?" Jack asked, as he slowly brushed his thumb over the material just above the head of Daniel's cock, and smiled as Daniel arched into the touch and opening his eyes to look directly into Jacks.
Daniel's eyes were ablaze with desire, but also with a degree of fear. Still breathing heavily he whispered. "I've never actually..., I don't know what...," Then so quietly Jack almost didn't catch it. "I don't want to disappoint you."
In a rush, Jack released the breath he didn't realize he was holding, his upper body trembling at the thought of losing Daniel before he had ever really had him.
"Oh, God Danny. I thought you had changed your mind." Kissing him lightly on the forehead he continued. "Daniel, sweetheart, you could never disappoint me. I love you." Jack was only slightly shocked at what he had said, due to the fact that he could feel that truth all the way down to the bottom of his soul, so he said it again. "I love you, Daniel."
Daniel's eyes were now bright with unshed tears and absolute awe.
"You love me? I never thought you'd actually say that, I had hoped that you felt the same way I did, but..., you love me?"
Smiling with a combination of mischief and evil shining in his eyes, he answered.
"Ya' think?" Grinning widely before kissing him again, Jack waited for Daniel to respond, hoping with every part of his soul that Danny believed him.
"I love you too, Jack." He said as the blush returned to his cheeks again. "Show me..., please show me." He begged softly.
Jack smiled and leaned his body back down onto Daniel fully, and preceded to do just that.
Twenty minutes later a very naked and sweaty archaeologist was whimpering in frustration. Jack had teased and touched and caressed every part of his body and was slowly preparing him for total oblivion. Daniel's entire body was quaking with his need for release. Jack had brought him repeatedly to the edge of the precipice, only to bring him half way down again before he started the whole thing over again.
"JACK! Please..., DO something! Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please...!" Daniel begged, panting and gasping, as Jack smiled and ran the tip of his tongue up Daniel's straining erection. Then for the first time, Jack ran his finger over his prostate. Daniel choked out a gasp as the feeling surged through his body. He felt like he was going to explode..., No he NEEDED to explode, NOW!
Making a mad grab for Jack, he pleaded again so softly he could barely hear himself. "Jack..., please..."
Jack sat up and wiped his hand on the towel he had ready, then rolled the condom onto his own aching cock and carefully lubed himself. He had stretched Daniel quite well but he still want going to take any chances.
"Easy, sweetheart. I'm coming." Jack panted as he finished preparing himself for Daniel.
Carefully he positioned himself between Daniel's legs, then slid home with one long slow thrust. Daniel grabbed onto Jack's arms and wrapped his legs around his waist, pulling him in even closer.
"Oh, YES! JACK!" He gasped.
They were both shaking and Jack knew that they both wouldn't last much longer. Slowly he began to move but Daniel wasn't having any of that and pulled Jack against him hard as he thrust forward.
"OH, GOD, DANNY!" He groaned as he gave up on the idea of trying to go slow and gave them what they both wanted and pounded into him with Daniel moving in perfect counterpoint, each thrust nailing Daniel's prostate.
It was over quickly. Daniel screamed Jack's name as his entire body seized and the orgasm exploded throughout his body. Moaning Daniel's name, Jack followed him over the edge as Daniel's orgasm pulled Jack into him further and tightened convulsively around him.
"I love you, Danny" Was the last thing Daniel heard before loosing consciousness, and everything went black.
