From out of the shadows Ruh padded into the waning moonlight.
With a quiet whisper filled with rage, Curupira turned on him and demanded an explanation. "Why did you stop me? If you leave me alone I can get rid of this pesky human once and for all and your precious Beastmaster won't have any more troubles."
Dar and Tao continued to sleep, undisturbed in the face of her wrath as Ruh moved to cover Tao protectively.
/he is important to Dar and I won't let you hurt him/
"You won't let me hurt him?? Who do you think I am? I am Curupira and you don't have the right to tell me what I can or cannot do!" Curupira was in a towering rage and was fast losing her temper.
As Ruh and the demon faced off over Tao's body, the Eiron rolled over in his sleep and latched onto Ruh's hind leg, snuggling close before stilling again.
Watching as Ruh nuzzled Tao, Curupira was hit by a flash of insight. "You...you care for him, don't you?"
Curupira's incredulous voice echoed in the silence of the Sanctuary and caused Dar to twitch in his sleep. With a Word, Curupira made sure none of the inhabitants of the Sanctuary would awaken before she was finished with her discussion. As she stood, waiting for Ruh's answer, she cast her thoughts back, trying to see if she had missed or ignored any clues that would explain Ruh's strange behavior toward Tao.
A quiet voice interrupted her thoughts and she gazed back at Ruh.
/Yes. I care for him/
Although she had suspected, she was still surprised that he would answer her so truthfully. "Aren't you afraid of what I'll do to both of you, now that you've told me this?"
Ruh shook his head and his tail twitched with his movement.
/NO. You cannot hurt him because Dar values him. If you do anything to Tao and Dar finds out, you would lose his trust and you won't let that happen. As for myself, I am Dar's friend and he would be upset if I died and you wouldn't hurt Dar like that. Besides its not as if I can do anything to Tao, he doesn't understand me and I wouldn't hurt him like that/
Listening to Ruh's words, Curupira felt her anger lessen and sighed when Ruh finished his speech. "I understand your position," she whispered. "What would you do if you could do anything?"
Sensing her sincere desire to understand, Ruh opened his mind and let her see his fondest memory. Tao leaning up against Ruh, unafraid and comfortable, trusting him to keep him safe as he slept; both of them waiting for Dar to return from a hunting trip.
Ruh's mind carried the scene further, showing Tao lying beneath Ruh's body as he moved his massive head down the beautiful, naked body of his love. His tongue scraped Tao's nipple and a strangled gasp echoed in the moonlight. As his tongue progressed further down his body the noises that Tao made changed their tone to that of arousal and when his mouth gently covered Tao's genitals, Tao shivered with intense need.
/Ruh, please../ Tao's aroused voice spoke within the mind of Ruh and he used his tongue to take the Eiron to further heights of arousal. The night was filled with the moans and pleading whispers of the highly sensitive man whose body was drenched with sweat.
Finally, Ruh felt pity for his fragile lover and nuzzled the curls protecting his genitals and then slowly ushered them back into his mouth and twirled his tongue around it. With a cry, Tao's body stiffened and he released his seed into Ruh's mouth.
After his lover had quieted down, Ruh let his genitals slide out of his mouth and he returned to licking his body. When Ruh felt Tao's body begin to become aroused again, he gently urged his lover onto his fours and covered Tao's body with his own. Feeling his own genital's hardness, he rubbed it against Tao's buttock cheeks and crack.
Tao's body began to tremble with a combination of fear and arousal as he felt Ruh's genital rub against his crack.
Ruh flowed down his lover's body licking and lapping along his spine until he reached his buttock cheeks where he proceeded to insert a questing tongue into Tao's crack.
Tao's body tightened then relaxed around the intruding organ and Ruh pressed in further, careful not to injure his lover. Finally his tongue found the pleasure point and Tao's body instinctively clutched him harder.
When he felt that the hot passage was sufficiently ready, Ruh removed his tongue and was gratified to hear the whisper of loss his lover voiced. Covering Tao with his body once more, Ruh's hardened genital sought the hot, tight passage of his lover and pushed in. A gasp from his lover stopped his movements and Ruh nuzzled Tao's neck.

Tao's body finally relaxed and his voice whispered in Ruh's mind. /Now, Ruh/
With his lover's permission, Ruh pushed in with one motion and then stopped, letting his lover get accustomed to the feeling. When Tao moved back against him, Ruh moved his body. Pulling out and plunging back in he listened to Tao' s gasps of pleasure. Harder and faster he moved within Tao's tight passage until he stiffened and let loose his seed into his lover's body. After removing his genitals from Tao, he used his tongue to clean the exhausted man up and then wrapped his body around his lover.
Tao roused himself enough to smooth Ruh's fur and cuddled closer to his tiger-lover with a contented sigh.
/Thank you, my love/ Tao's loving words echoed in his mind as he watched his lover sleep.
As Ruh broke the link with Curupira, he noticed that her eyes were dilated and glazed as she stared with unseeing eyes at him. Curupira shook her head slowly and then seemed to snap out of it, staring with wide eyes at Ruh.
"I..how do you stand it when he touches you, knowing that you can't ever have him like you dream of ?" The demon's natural curiosity demanded an answer and finally Ruh lowered his face to the sleeping Eiron and nuzzled his neck. With a sigh of pure bliss, Tao turned over in his sleep and relinquished his hold on Ruh's leg.
With a sly glance, Ruh looked up at Curupira as he wrapped himself around Tao.
/Who says it was a dream?/
As a sputtering Curupira watched, Ruh lowered his massive head to Tao's neck and licked a path down his arm. Tao slowly awoke and raised his arms to Ruh's ears and passively lay there as Ruh slowly undressed him.
Curupira staged a hasty retreat but not before Tao's first moan reached her ears. With a curse, she made sure that Dar, the ferrets, and Sharak would remain asleep until Ruh and Tao had finished their "business."
A gentle touch caressed her mind and then a voice whispered within her mind. /Thank you/
Afterwards she would wonder at the clear mind-voice of the Eiron scholar but for now she was more interested in emptying her mind of Ruh's memories.
